Special Education

Special Education teachers are certified to teach students in all grades from Early Childhood through 12th grade. To be considered academically prepared, your official transcript must show a total of 24 semester hours in the following combination of subjects with at least a 2.75 grade point average (GPA) and no grade lower than a "C." Semester hours (sh) are the course hours for which you received credit in your prior academic career. None of the mentioned 24 hours are required to be upper level hours. Additionally, you must have attained a minimum overall GPA of 2.75.
