Reporting a Security Issue
If you discover a security issue (i.e., illegal file sharing, username/password sharing, viruses or other malicious software on University property, theft of University property), please contact the Information Security Officer (ISO) with the following information:
- type of electronic information service that was involved
- specific information as to the location of the information
- type of violation that is suspected

Types of Violations
There are many types of security violations. These include but are not limited to the following:
- Drug Trafficking
- Fraud
- Hacking
- Harassment
- Identity Theft (personal information such as username/password, social security, and credit cards)
- Obscene or Offensive Content
- Phishing
- Piracy (illegal sharing/viewing of content such as music or videos)
- Spam
- Spyware (software recording keystrokes, or tracking other information on your usage)
- Terrorism
- Theft
- Viruses, Worms, & Trojans ("malware" or malicious software)
