Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society

President’s Message

President Diana Kunce welcomes you to the Tau Chi web site!

This web site was designed to provide information for our members and to offer information for those who may be interested in becoming a member of Tau Chi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.

If you would like to become a member of Tau Chi Chapter, please click on the membership link.  The membership requirements for the honor society are listed there.  There are a number of other useful links providing information about the history and philanthropy of Sigma Theta Tau International and Tau Chi Chapter.   The calendar will provide you with important dates.

We are a relatively new chapter of STTI having received our charter in April 2006. The chapter just completed our first year as a STTI chapter.  We hold an induction ceremony each Spring and have scholarly and research offerings in the Fall.

If you are interested in serving as an officer or would like to volunteer for a task force please respond to the “contact us” link provided.

Our chapter has been involved since 2001 (as an honor society), with the Rebekah Ann Naylor School of Nursing at Bangalore Baptist Hospital in Bangalore, India.  Along with several other chapters, we provide funds to purchase uniforms for the new graduates each year. Contributions were also made for the ICN Mobile Library there.   We have also donated a resuscitation manikin and textbooks to the Escuela de Enfermeria in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila Mexico.

Tau Chi continues to support our mission to provide leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research to enhance the health of all people.  We support the learning and professional development of our members who strive to improve nursing care worldwide.
