Thompson Student Center Facts
The Barry B. Thompson Student Center was opened in 1994 and was originally named the the Student Development Center. The building is 103,000 square feet and was built for a cost of 17.8 million dollars. It was renamed in 2002 after Dr. Barry B. Thompson, the 13th President of Tarleton State University. A 1.8 million dollar renovation was completed in the Spring of 2010 on the lower level of the building.
The Thompson Student Center is located in the center of the Tarleton campus, next to the Dining Hall. It is a hub of student activity and is home to several departments. Currently housed in the Thompson Student Center are the departments of:

We offer three conference rooms, as well as a ballroom which can be broken down into three smaller ballrooms depending on your needs.
