Advised Admission
Some students who do not meet regular admission standards are granted advised admission to the University. These students sign a contract for a one semester enrollment, and must meet the conditions of the contract to obtain good standing. The standards for advised admission are subject to change, and questions regarding those standards should be directed to Undergraduate Admissions, 254-968-9125.
Conditions of these contracts involve Student Success Programs in two ways:
- Students under advised admission must meet with Student Success Program staff to discuss their academic progress three times a semester; and
- Must also enroll in a Student Success Programs Gateway Program during their first semester which includes DGS 101 - University Seminar.
* Course enrollment is dependent upon university mathematics and English placement rules.
NEW - The Gateway Program will be available for Spring 2011!
