Criteria:	The Agriculture Career Development Scholarship was established in 2004, to recognize outstanding high school students, from around the state, who participated in annual judging contests.

American Association of University Women Rosellen Davis Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a female high school senior from Erath County, Texas, who plans to attend Tarleton State University as a full-time student.

Arlie Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a senior from a Texas high school or to a previous recipient, if the student maintains an average or above GPA at Tarleton State University. The friends of Dr. Arlie Brown, a Tarleton student, established the Arlie Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship in 1989. Dr. Brown became a physician and hospital owner in Freer, Texas.

Athletic Performance Intern Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a student who has experience assisting in the field of collegiate strength and conditioning and has been granted admission to the Tarleton graduate program.

Audie & Zera Floyd Educational Trust Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to students that graduated from or attended De Leon High School for at least one year, or those who are currently employed in the De Leon ISD. Scholarships may be renewed for five years. There are no restrictions based on student type or attending hours. Recipients must be admitted to and/or in good standing at the University.

Barbara Jeanne Adams Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be awarded to a high school graduate of Motley County I.S.D., Patton Springs I.S.D., or a high school in Dickens County. The recipient shall be a full-time student and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5.

Bass Club Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be awarded to a bass club member in good standing with the university (2.0 GPA). Scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement, fishing achievement, leadership qualities and Bass Club participation.

Bernie and Lorraine Trice Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be awarded to a high school graduate from Erath County or Hamilton County that is a full-time undergraduate student, Texas resident and United States citizen. The recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0, document financial need, and demonstrate leadership skills, community involvement, and moral character.

Brett Spindor Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity that demonstrates leadership abilities in the school and community, demonstrates moral character, and is a Texas resident. Academic record is considered in the selection process.

C.J. “Red” Davidson Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to worthy students in need of an education, renewed yearly for four years or until bachelor’s degree is complete. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 overall and TSU GPA. Established in the late 1960s by Mr. Davidson.

Carroll and Leta Barham Scholarships

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a student maintaining a 3.00 current semester GPA and overall GPA. The children of Carroll & Leta Barham established the Carroll & Leta Barham Endowed Scholarship in 1985. It was established as a tribute to the Barham's 50th wedding anniversary, and as a memorial to their son, Dohn, who died of cancer in 1988.

Comanche County Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to full-time students that are graduates of any high school in Comanche County, demonstrating financial need in order to pursue his or her collegiate studies, a strong desire and commitment to pursue a college degree and having work experience. Recipient must also show a record of active participation in extra-curricular activities if physically able to do so. Established in 1998 by Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Nix of Stephenville.

Community College Bridge Scholarships

Cross Timbers School Development Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to students that graduate from a high school with membership in the Cross Timbers School Development Council. Recipients must have a “B” average while in high school and be a U.S. citizen.

Curtis C. Meeks Upward Bound Project Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be awarded to a student in the Upward Bound Project at Tarleton State University or a student who has completed the “Bridge Program” of the Tarleton State University Upward Bound Project demonstrating financial need. The recipient must be an undergraduate full-time student at Tarleton State University. Former Upward Bound participants are eligible to reapply as long a 2.5 GPA has been maintained in the preceding semester.

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to outstanding doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate students at Tarleton State University. Recipients must maintain a 3.00 overall GPA and maintain full-time student status. Incoming freshmen must have a 23 or higher ACT or a 1000 or higher SAT (math and verbal) and typically top quarter ranking.

De Leon Ex-Students Association Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to graduates of De Leon High School demonstrating reasonable financial need (based on committee determination). Recipients must enroll as full-time students at Tarleton State University. Established in October 1994 by Mr. John Caraway of Stephenville to benefit deserving students from DeLeon, Texas.

Deans' Academic Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to outstanding students identified during the recruiting process. Recipients must have high school top quarter ranking and SAT scores of 1100 (verbal and math) or ACT scores of 25 composite for majors in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, the College of Liberal and Fine Arts and the College of Science and Technology. Recipients must have high school top quarter ranking and SAT scores of 1000 (verbal and math) or ACT scores of 23 composite for the College of Education and the College of Business Administration. One-time only award.

Dextor & Leroy Ator Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a deserving student demonstrating financial need. The Dextor and Leroy Ator Scholarship was established by the children of the Ator family in honor of their parents. All nine children and several of their grandchildren continue the tradition of attending Tarleton State University.

Dr. Dennis P. McCabe Student Endowment Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship is given to students for achievement in the classroom, leadership on campus, financial need, and field experience. To apply for this scholarship, students must have completed 12 hours at TSU. Recipients must be full-time students and have a 2.40 GPA for the leadership, need-based and field experience options. Recipients must be full-time students and have a 3.0 GPA for the scholastic option. Recipients in the need-based option must show financial need but not be eligible for the PELL grant.

Dwain & Carolyn Bruner Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to an entering freshman student with a 3.2 GPA in high school who is a graduate of an Erath County High School. The recipient should demonstrate a need for financial assistance in order to be able to pursue his or her collegiate studies. The recipient should also demonstrate strong leadership characteristics. The Dwain & Carolyn Bruner Endowed Scholarship was established in 1999 by the employees of Bruner Motors as a holiday gift to their employer and his wife. The Bruners are longtime residents of Stephenville.

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to first-time graduate students in a graduate degree program. Recipients must be enrolled in at least six semester credit hours. This scholarship is only available during the first semester of graduate enrollment.

Gary Wayne Brannon Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a full-time undergraduate student with at least a sophomore status who is an initiated brother of Kappa Delta Rho for at least one year and one year involvement with Zeta Beta. The recipient must be in good standing with Zeta Beta with a minimum GPA of 2.25 the previous semester and a 2.5 cumulative GPA. The recipient's overall activity within Zeta Beta Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho, Tarleton State University, and the local community will be looked at for selection. The recipient must show gentlemanly conduct in and outside of Tarleton State University.

General Studies Upward Bound Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a full-time student recommended by Upward Bound staff and not eligible for the Texas Tuition Guarantee program. The recipient must also have participated in the Tarleton State University Upward Bound Program for four years during high school.

George Martin Memorial Endowed Agriculture Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a full-time, Texas resident student majoring in an area of agriculture with junior or senior status demonstrating financial need.

Gifford Family Veterans Endowed Scholarship

Amount:	At least $1,000 per semester

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a student who had "Active Duty" service to any branch of the United States military with honorable or medical discharge. Recipients must have sophomore or above classification with a 2.5 or higher grade point average and be active in the promotion of veterans.

Golden Family Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a student involved in two or more organization activities recognized by the Office of Student Activities at Tarleton State University. Preference will be given to students in Lambda Chi Alpha or graduates from Clifton High School. If no applicant from Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity or Clifton High School, all other applicants will be considered. The recipient must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA and earned a minimum of 30 credit hours at Tarleton State University.

Honors Degree Program Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to students participating in the Honors Degree Program at TSU. Entering freshman requirements: 1) high school top quarter ranking or 2) second quarter ranking with an SAT (math and verbal) of 1100 or higher or an ACT of 24 or higher. Recipients must be members of the Honors Degree Program (working toward and completing the 15-hour Honors Core at the lower level and one of the three options for upper-level honors at the upper level) and maintain a 3.20 overall TSU grade point average and a 3.0 in honors courses.

The recipient must also be in good standing with Zeta Beta, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be active within Zeta Beta Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho, Tarleton State University, and the local community.

Joy Gallant Archer Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to students who do not qualify for awards based solely on academic achievements or those based solely on financial need. Recipients must be full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 and demonstrate financial need through FAFSA. The Joy Gallant Archer Scholarship was established in 1999 by a gift from the will of Joy Gallant Archer. Mrs. Archer, who died at the age of 83, was a private individual who had little formal education and worked hard for what she achieved in life. Mrs. Archer appreciated the financial and moral support she had received from her family throughout her life and felt it was important to set up a system to provide support for young people seeking educational opportunities.

Tarleton Community Scholarship

Criteria:	A one-time only scholarship to Tarleton State University (not to exceed $500) that will pay for three (3) SCH of undergraduate or graduate tuition. Scholarships will expire one year after award date.

Texan Rep Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to students during their spring semester after serving as Texan Reps during the fall semester. Recipients must attend all Texan Rep meetings, work one hour in the Welcome Center during the week prior to each Texan Tour, participate in both Texan Tour set up days, participate in both Texan Tours, and give an additional six hours to office work in the Welcome Center or to group tours during the semester.

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a first generation college student enrolled full-time at Tarleton State University. The recipient must also be classified as a sophomore or above, demonstrate financial need and be in good standing with the university.

Uta Davis Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a worthy female student with a GPA of "B" or better (3.0) whose character is above reproach. This scholarship will be awarded during the student's junior year for use in the senior year. Various donors created the Uta Davis Scholarship as a memorial scholarship. Mrs. Davis was the wife of J. Thomas Davis who served as Dean of John Tarleton Agricultural College during the 1940s.

Virginia Powell Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a full-time student who demonstrates good moral character, financial need, and leadership abilities in the school and community. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA and must not be on academic or disciplinary probation of any type currently or previously at TSU. First preference will be given to those students from the Selden community with next consideration given to students from Erath County. Recipient must be a Texas resident and a U.S. citizen.

Former recipients must maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA and maintain full-time student status.

W.P. and Lucille Brummett Endowed Scholarship

Criteria:	Recipient must be a graduate from Hico High School, based on academic record, demonstrated leadership abilities in school and the community, a placed youth within the W.P. and Lucille Youth Ranch Program, citizenship record, and demonstrated moral character.

Washington D.C. Intership Scholarship

Amount:	$10,000

Criteria:	This scholarship will be given to a student who is serving as a Washington D.C. intern. The recipient must enroll in at least 1 hour of course credit during the internship and have at least 60 or more college credit hours. The recipient must also work full-time at his/her assigned position; submit a digital work portfolio to the program coordinator with copies of at least four letters, press releases, memos, or other written assignments etc. completed during the internship; submit a minimum of two pictures of the D.C. experience, in and out of the worksite; turn in digital copies of any papers/portfolios or other course credit assignments; write a thank you letter to benefactor (if any) and submit a copy to program coordinator; and complete evaluation of the experience. The recipient must also, upon returning to Tarleton, participate in a minimum of two recruiting events, from career days to speaking to classes, during the next recruiting cycle; complete all papers, portfolios and other documentation as required for academic credit; attend all meetings, special speaker events, luncheons, and dinners unless special permission to miss is granted by the program coordinator; respond to all inquiries and requests from the program coordinator or other TSU administrative staff.
