Criteria: Recipients must maintain a 3.00 overall and Tarleton GPA. Full-time undergraduates, graduates and doctoral students are eligible for the award. Established in the late 1960s by Mr. Davidson.

Dick Smith Graduate Scholarship
Amount: $3,000 per year
Deadline: February 15 (fall/academic year) or December 1 (spring)
Criteria: Recipients must major in graduate programs in the College of Science and Technology or the College of Liberal and Fine Arts. New graduate students must have a 3.2 undergraduate GPA for consideration. Returning graduate students must have a 3.5 graduate GPA. All recipients must enroll in at least six hours of graduate work per semester.

Dr. Sara Tyler Memorial Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Deadline: February 15
Criteria: The recipient shall be a Graduate Student of Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading, fully admitted to the College of Graduate Studies with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The recipient must also be a Texas Certified Teacher.

First-Time Graduate Scholarship
Amount: $500
Deadline: December 1 - Spring; May 1 - Summer; August 1 - Fall
Criteria: To qualify, students must be seeking a graduate degree and be enrolled in at least 6 graduate level hours. This scholarship is only available during the first semester of graduate enrollment.

Flora H. Foust Graduate Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 per academic year
Deadline: February 15
Criteria: Any major qualifies; for any exemplary student who has a score of 1000 (verbal and quantitative) on the GRE exam and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
