Tarleton State University

Sunday, December 8, 2013

STEPHENVILLE, Texas—All Tarleton State University locations will open at 11 a.m. Monday except for the Waco campus, which will resume normal operating hours at 8 a.m. on Dec. 9. Tarleton’s Weatherford campus will be closed all day Monday due to inclement weather.

The university’s Stephenville, Southwest Metroplex Center in Fort Worth and Midlothian campuses are scheduled to open at 11 a.m. due to continued hazardous travel conditions following the recent winter storm.

At this time individual academic departments will coordinate the rescheduling of final exams that were originally scheduled for Monday’s 8-10:30 a.m. time slot. Students should plan to take their 11:30 a.m. final exams tomorrow as originally scheduled.

All final exams that were missed on Friday, Dec. 6 will be rescheduled for the same time slots on Friday, Dec. 13.

Additional information on all final exam periods needing to be rescheduled will be shared with the campus community on Monday. Students, faculty and staff are asked to please check university email notices and the Tarleton website for updates.

Any updated information will be provided on Tarleton’s website at and through Code Purple, the university’s emergency notification system.

Each employee and student should use common sense and good judgment about driving to and from Tarleton locations when traveling conditions are hazardous, whether the campus is closed or not.
