STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton’s Texan Battalion Senior Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) welcomes the public to its 2013 Leadership Symposium, Wednesday, April 3, at the Barry B. Thompson Student Center.

The symposium will take place at 4 p.m. in Ballroom A, and will consist of a moderated panel discussion featuring guests who will share their personal and professional perspectives on leadership: San Antonio resident Kathy Acock, president of Alpha Building Corporation; Jacob Johnson, president of Dallas-based AAA Data Communications; and Fort Worth resident Dwain Mayfield, president of ADM Global Resources.

The symposium grew out of a need for senior cadets to enhance their knowledge and application of leadership in different facets of their personal and professional lives, said Lt. Col. Jason Vranes, professor of military science and commander of the Texan Battalion.

“The program has been graciously expanded to include all Tarleton students, faculty and staff, giving each of us the unique opportunity to compare and contrast leadership styles, motivation strategies, employee expectations and personal traits,” Vranes said.

A reception will follow the symposium in the Thompson Student Center ballrooms.
