STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton’s Transition & Family Relations office is sponsoring a “send-off” party at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on June 26.

Five hundred tickets to the Texas Rangers versus Detroit Tigers game will be available for $10 to incoming freshmen, current students, faculty, staff and alumni. A picnic package is also available for an additional $13.50. The picnic in the park will be located behind sections 310-314 (third base concourse area) with food and beverages served a half hour prior to game time, 7:05 p.m., and one hour into the game.

Although open to anyone associated with Tarleton, the “focus is really on the incoming freshmen,” said Lathes Towns, director of Transition & Family Relations. “They’ll have the chance to meet some of our administrators and network with alums.”
