Tarleton Percussion Ensemble to take center stage

STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS—The contemporary and jazz beats of the drum will take center stage next week as the Tarleton State University Percussion Ensemble presents its first concert of the 2009-10 season.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium.

Under the direction of Associate Professor Dr. Gary Westbrook, the ensemble, now in its seventh year, will perform works by American composers Bela Fleck, Nathan Daughtrey, Steve Riley and Joel Harrison.

Admission is $5 for the general public and free to Tarleton faculty, staff and students with a Texan ID card.
