Camps & Programs for Minors
Tarleton State University annually hosts more than 9,000 participants in varied program activities at various campus locations. Camp programming content varies greatly; therefore, it is the responsibility of each camp sponsor to review activities and logistics for identifiable risks or hazards.
Questions related to camp safety and risk should be directed to the Department of Risk Management & Safety (RMS) at (254) 968-9237. For additional information please follow this link.
In response to System Regulation 24.01.06, Camps and Programs for Minors effective May 1, 2013, Child Protection Training (CPT) has been implemented and is required for all workers and volunteers of Tarleton-hosted camps and programs geared towards minors. Evidence of completion of training must be provided to Tarleton by these individuals in advance of working. It will be the responsibility of the camp/program coordinator to obtain the necessary documentation (again, prior to working the camp/program), and attach it to either the Personnel Budget Action (PBA) form, Personnel Action Form (PAF), or Request for Compensation form before submitting it for payment processing.
If you have any questions or need additional information regarding the payment of Camp Workers please contact Cynthia Carter, Ph.D. at x 9877 or email@example.com
