Commissioning

Tarleton's Texan Battalion commissioned five graduating cadets on May 8, 2015 at the Tarleton Student Center. Family members, friends, and fellow underclassmen Cadets and Cadre were in attendance, along with President F. Dominic Dottavio, Provost Dr. Karen Murray, and Dean of COLFA Kelli Styron. Commissioning signifies that a college student has completed his or her degree of study and the requirements of the Army's Officer Training program, and has transitioned into the role of a professional Army officer. Cadets take the Oath of Office and are commissioned as 2nd Lieutenants.
