CPT Frank A. Dolberry II
Assistant Professor of Military Science

Captain Frank Dolberry commissioned in May 2006 through ROTC from the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia where he earned a bachelor’s degree in History. After commissioning as an Armor Second Lieutenant, Captain Dolberry was assigned to 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized). He deployed with 6-8 CAV to Southern Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2007-2008 as a Scout Platoon Leader and Squadron Adjutant. After the 14 month deployment, Captain Dolberry redeployed and was selected to serve as the Aide-de-camp to the Deputy Commanding General of the US Army Cadet Command at Fort Monroe, Virginia. After completing Marine Expeditionary Warfare School at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Captain Dolberry reported to 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was assigned to 3rd Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment (Airborne) and deployed to Ghazni Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2012 as an Assistant Operations Officer. After the 5 month deployment, Captain Dolberry assumed command of Apache Troop, 3-73 CAV on October 16, 2012. Captain Dolberry relinquished command of Apache Troop after 18 months on April 25, 2014. On 1 July 2014, Captain Dolberry reported to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas and assumed the duties of Assistant Professor of Military Science and ROTC Battalion Executive Officer.

Captain Dolberry’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (with Oak Leaf cluster), the Meritorious Service medal (with Oak Leaf cluster), Iraqi Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO ISAF medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Ranger Tab.

Captain Dolberry attended and completed the following schools: Basic Airborne Course (Fort Benning), Basic Officer Leader Course II (Fort Benning), Basic Officer Leader Course III (Fort Knox), Ranger School (Fort Benning), Marine Expeditionary Warfare School (Marine Corps Base Quantico), Jumpmaster School (Fort Bragg)

Captain Dolberry is a native of Virginia Beach, VA. He is the son of Carol and Frank Dolberry (Norfolk, VA)
