December 2009 Graduates

  • December 2009 Commencement Ceremony

The commencement ceremony for all undergraduate and graduate degree recipients from Tarleton State University, will be held Saturday, December 12, 2009 in Wisdom Gym. Three ceremonies will be held for the December 2009 graduation exercises and include the following:

The first ceremony will be held at 9:00 am and includes the following colleges:

College of Education
College of Science and Technology

The second ceremony will be held at 11:30 am and includes the following colleges:

College of Business Administration
College of Interdisciplinary Degrees and Liberal Studies Degrees

The third ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm and includes the following colleges:

College of Agriculture and Human Sciences
College of Liberal and Fine Arts

  • Check-In

Commencement Ceremony Check-In Time
First ceremony (9:00 am) 8:00 am
Second ceremony (11:30 am) 10:30 am
Third ceremony (2:00 pm) 1:00 pm

Check-in will be located in the small volleyball gym. All students must check-in. Students will receive an index card during the check-in process and will receive further instructions at this time.

  • Graduation Rehearsal

There will not be a December 2009 graduation rehearsal.

  • Graduation Tickets

Commencement Ceremony Tickets Issued per Graduation Candidate
First ceremony (9:00 am) 10
Second ceremony (11:30 am) 10
Third ceremony (2:00 pm) 14

Students will need to contact their Dean's Office for the ticket distribution. Tickets will be different colors for each ceremony. Ticket distribution will begin October 15- November 20. Starting on November 23 all tickets not picked up by the student will be distributed to students desiring additional tickets. Again, please contact your Dean's office for ticket distribution information. Note: This does not guarantee additional tickets will be available as we expect most if not all tickets to be claimed by graduates.

  • Cap and Gown

Candidates may contact the Campus Store at 254-968-9007 or visit their website to order their cap and gown.

  • May 2010 Graduates

The Spring commencement ceremony for all undergraduate and graduate degree recipients from Tarleton State University, will be held May 15, 2010. More information will be made available in the spring.

Updates!

  • Graduation List: The list of students who have applied for graduation is available now. You can confirm that your form has been received and processed by the Registrar. Students NTNET (st_ account) login required. Last updated June 25, 2009.
  • Diplomas: August 2009 diplomas will be mailed on September 11, 2009. Please allow three weeks for delivery. Students who do not receive their diploma within the three week time frame should notify the Registrar's Office immediately at 254-968-9233 or wadams@tarleton.edu. Students needing to replace their diploma will be charged a $10 replacement diploma fee.
  • Commencement Photographer: Flash Photography will be taking graduation pictures at the December 2009 commencement ceremony. Flash Photography will contact each graduation candidate by email and regular mail with information on proofs and how to order their graduation pictures. Graduation candidates may contact Flash Photography at 214-443-9393.
  • The Commencement Ceremony will be broadcast on Northland Cable Channel 6. DVD's of the ceremony will be available for purchase. Availability and purchase prices TBD.
  • Handicapped parking will be available on the South side of Wisdom Gym. Designated handicapped seating for the commencement ceremony will be available on the upper level of the gymnasium as well as on the lower level. For more information contact Risk Management at 254-968-9898.

Apply for Graduation

Undergraduate candidates:

All undergraduate students must fill out the two forms listed below. The Checkout form must be reviewed and signed by your Academic Advisor. These forms must be returned to the Registrar's Office in person or by fax at (254)968-9389.

Masters candidates may visit the College of Graduate Studies website for additional information.

Deadlines to file for Graduation:

  • Fall 2009- April 14, 2009
  • Spring 2010- November 15, 2009
  • Summer 2010- March 10, 2010
