Banner Security

Banner security access for employees of Tarleton State University are evaluated on an individual basis and must be requested by the individual's supervisor/department head. 

Request for Banner Security Access can be made through the Help Desk Ticket System.

SECURITY ACCESS FOR STAFF

Security access for staff will need to be requested by their immediate supervisor/department head and will require the following information:

  • Employee Name
  • UIN (assigned by Human Resources)
  • NTNET username
  • Department
  • Campus location (Stephenville, Killeen, Southwest Metroplex, or Waco)
  • Classification (Faculty, Staff, Student, Grad Student, Adjunct)
  • Access requested (Banner, DuckTrax, Imaging)
  • Hold access (which holds category and type will the employee need access to)

A brief description of the responsibilities/duties of the employee should also be listed in order to justify appropriate security access.

SECURITY ACCESS FOR FACULTY

Initial security access for faculty is processed by Academic Affairs with hiring paperwork received from Human Resources.  This includes access to faculty services within DuckTrax.  Additional access to Banner (add/clear holds, etc) and/or Imaging will need to be requested through the Registrar's Office providing the information stated above.

SECURITY ACCESS FOR STUDENT WORKERS

Security access for student workers will need to be requested by their immediate supervisor/department head and will require the following information:

  • Employee name
  • UIN (assigned by Human Resources)
  • University ID
  • NTNET username:  sw_account required
  • Department
  • Campus location (Stephenville, Killeen, Southwest Metroplex, or Waco)
  • Classification: student or grad student
  • Access requested: Banner, DuckTrax (faculty access), Imaging

A brief description of the responsibilities/duties of the employee should also be listed in order to justify appropriate security access.
