Highlights


  • New Nursing Building. A new 23.4 million dollar, 53,000 square foot nursing building is planned to open in the fall of 2010 on a site at Vanderbilt and Rome Streets near the Science Building.  The new facility will provide the quantity and quality of space necessary to expand the baccalaureate nursing program and offer a masters degree in nursing.
  • Program Accreditation.  The Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing program is fully accredited by the Texas Board of Nursing and nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The program was granted reaccredidation by CCNE in April 2004 for the maximum term of 10 years, extending to June 30, 2014.
