Department of Management, Marketing and Administrative Systems

About Us

On behalf of the Faculty and Staff, I want to thank you for your interest in pursuing one of the many Business degrees offered in the Department of Management, Marketing and Administrative Systems (MMAS)! Our department is the largest in the College of Business Administration and offers the following degree programs:

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees available in:

  • Administrative Systems (Office Management)
  • Human Resource Management
  • Interdisciplinary Business (With Support Fields or General Business)
  • Management
  • Marketing

Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees available in:

  • Administrative Systems (With or Without Secondary Business Educator Certification)
  • Business Administration
  • Management
  • Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (BAAS) in Business Occupations
  • Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (BSAS)

The BAAS and BSAS programs are for students who have completed technical/occupational specializations from community colleges, technical schools, military schools, etc., and qualify for admission. The department also supports a minor in International Studies.

At the graduate level, the department offers a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management and Leadership and in Human Resource Management. The departments of the College of Business Administration offer the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Our faculty are well-trained in their respective fields and very student-oriented. They are committed to providing the best educational experience possible so that the MMAS graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of today’s challenging and competitive workforce.

News and Events


  • 10-Week Summer Session begins June Monday, June 7th. Last class day is Wednesday, August 11th.
  • First Summer Session (5 weeks) begins Monday, June 7th. Last class day is Wednesday, July 7th.
  • Second Summer Session (5 weeks) begins Monday July 12th. Last class day is Wednesday, August 11th.
  • Summer graduation is Saturday, August 14th.

  • Fall 2010 Semester begins Monday, August 30th
  • Monday, September 6th, Labor Day - No Classes
  • Friday, September 17th, Registration begins for Writing Proficiency Exam.
  • October 18-23  - Homecoming Week
  • Monday, October 25th - Second 8 week classes begin
  • Monday, November 8th - Registration for Spring Semester 2011 begins
  • Wednesday, November 24th - Classes are dismissed at noon. Holiday period begins at 5 pm
  • November 25th - 26th - Thanksgiving Holiday
  • Thursday, December 9th - Last class day
  • Saturday-Sunday, December 18-19 - Commencement (TBA)
