M.S. in Mathematical Data Mining

Applications are invited for M.S. in mathematics with a concentration in data mining at Tarleton State University – Texas A&M University System. The course of study is technical preparation for working in a production environment using applied mathematics and advanced analytics (data mining).  The unique opportunity in this degree offering is training in a data mining research center that was awarded Top 10 Data Mining Case Study in 2010 by Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) at the International Meeting in Sydney.

Research Assistantships are available for qualified applicants at $25,000 per year. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance (sensitive but not Secret).  Prerequisite is a degree in mathematics, statistics, or a closely allied field with undergraduate courses in Real Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Linear Algebra and Calculus Based Statistics.
