Dick Smith Library Collections
The library offers collections that support research, coursework, professional development, and personal interests. These collections hold nearly one million items in a variety of formats: books, e-books, journals, newspapers, videos, audio books, CDs, DVDs, etc. Brief descriptions of the collections with links to additional information follow.
- Lower Level - Audiovisual, Curriculum, Government documents, and Limited & Local History Collections

DVDs, VHS, CDs, cassettes, slides, records, and audio books, plus listening/viewing equipment and stations.
Lesson plan materials and workbooks, children's and adolescent literature, and Texas state-adopted textbooks (pre-K to 12), plus agriculture services and development materials.
Government Documents & Maps Collection
Reports and other documents published by the United States Government Printing Office and Texas state agencies. Maps include cartographic materials on the world.
Almanacs, subject encyclopedias and dictionaries, legal resources, periodical indexes, style guides, and literary criticism resources.
Houses most of the library's books that can be checked out. Offers a wide range of subjects and includes fiction and non-fiction.
Items are shelved using the Library of Congress Classification system
