BAT - Health Professions Technology

Program Summary


The Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) in Health Professions Technology (HPT) is designed for the certified/licensed allied health practitioner who has earned an Associate's Degree and who desires or requires further education for professional development or personal satisfaction. This degree will give graduates of allied health associate degree program an opportunity to continue their education at Tarleton State University to earn a four year degree, while applying credit from their Workforce Education (WECM) courses.

Students can transfer up to 33 credit hours from Associate’s Degree training in a healthcare field and 42 credit hours of general education requirements. The BAT Degree also includes 24 credit hours of required HPT major courses and 27 credit hours of prescribed elective courses.

Program


The BAT requires 120 credit hours to complete the degree. This includes up to 75 transferred credit hours of coursework, including core requirements.
