Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas. The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat - (FirstSearch Core) Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.

Academic Search Complete - provides full text for over 3,200 journals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science, etc. Examples of Sociological journals indexed in this database are: American Journal of Sociology, British Journal of Sociology, Annual Review of Sociology, and Contemporary Sociology.
Annual Reviews - Authoritative reviews for more than 29 disciplines including the field of sociology.
Dissertations and Theses - Full Text - The full text of more than one million of these titles is
available in paper and microform formats. Institutional subscribers to ProQuest Dissertations and Theses - Full Text receive on-line access to the complete file of dissertations in digital format starting with titles published from 1997 forward.JSTOR – Provides coverage of core scholarly journals in the Arts & Sciences, General Sciences, and Ecology & Botany collections. Search for information on sociology and the behavioral sciences in journals like, American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, Contemporary Sociology, and Social Psychology Quarterly.
Project Muse - Nearly 200 full text journals from 30 scholarly publishers. Sociological titles include: American Annals for the Deaf and Social Politics.
ScienceDirect - a Web database for scientific research that contains the full-text of more than 1,000 Elsevier Science journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences available through the Internet. Examples of sociology journals indexed in this database are: Child Abuse and Neglect, Children and Youth Services Review, and Journal of Aging Studies.
Social Services Abstracts - provides bibliographic coverage of current research focused on social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development. The database abstracts and indexes over 1,406 serials publications and includes abstracts of journal articles and dissertations, and citations to book reviews.
SocIndex - SocINDEX with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive and highest quality sociology research database. Its extensive scope and content provide users with a wealth of extremely useful information encompassing the broad spectrum of sociological study. SocINDEX with Full Text contains full text for 253 "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895, and 72 "priority" coverage journals. This database also includes full text for 547 books and monographs, and full text for 6,711 conference papers.
Sociological Abstracts - through FirstSearch - Provides information on all aspects of sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. With some full-text available, this international database includes over 1,500 journals. Examples of titles indexed in this database are: Annual Review of Sociology, The American Sociologist, International Journal of Social Welfare, and Journal of Family and Economic Issues.
SpringerLink – provides online access to journals, books, and reference works for a wide array of disciplines. Examples of sociological journals are: Journal of Aging and Identity, Journal of Child and Family Studies, and Sociological Forum.
