Books, Documents, Reports, Journals Titles, AV Materials, Etc.

Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog -  Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Look here for books, government reports, journal titles, videos, CDs, etc.  Keyword searching is available.
Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas.  The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat -  (FirstSearch Core)  Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.

Databases and Journal articles

Academic Search Complete - provides full text for over 3,200 journals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science, etc. Examples of Social Work journals indexed in this database are: Guidance and Counseling, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Journal of General Psychology, and Psychology and Aging.

Annual Reviews - Authoritative reviews for more than 29 disciplines including the field of psychology.

ArticleFirst – Includes citations to articles in over 12,000 sources that cover numerous topics such as business, science, humanities, social science, and psychology. Examples of journals include Applied Psychology, Culture and Psychology and Professional School Counseling.

Credo Reference - online reference collection, and it features full-text content from hundreds of reference books covering a broad range of subjects. It's a search engine like Google, but instead of searching the entire Internet, your results come from a comprehensive library of trusted reference sources without advertisements, clutter, or irrelevant hits. Includes coverage in: art and music, business, geography, history, literature and language, medicine, religion, and science.

Dissertations and Thesis: Full Text - The full text of more than one million of these titles is available in paper and microform formats. Institutional subscribers to ProQuest Dissertations and Theses - Full Text receive on-line access to the complete file of dissertations in digital format starting with titles published from 1997 forward.

JSTOR – Provides coverage of core scholarly journals in the Arts & Sciences, General Sciences, and Ecology & Botany collections. Search for information on psychology and the behavioral sciences in journals like, American Journal of Psychology, Child Development, and Journal of Consumer Psychology.

Proquest – Journals include: Professional School Counseling, Journal of Employment Counseling, and Journal of Counseling and Development.

PsycARTICLES - from the American Psychological Association (APA) with full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology.

Psychology and Behavioral Science Collection – This database covers information concerning topics in emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry and psychology, mental processes and counseling. Examples of journals include Addiction Research, Aging & Mental Health, Journal of Mental Health Counseling, and Professional School Counseling.

Psychology JournalsCounseling Psychology Quarterly, Gender and Society, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and Youth and Society.

PsycINFO –  Provides access to international literature in psychology and related disciplines.

SciVerse - a Web database for scientific research that contains the full-text of more than 1,000 Elsevier Science journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences available through the Internet. Examples of psychology journals indexed in this database are: Behavior Therapy, Cognition, Group Dynamics, and Infant Behavior and Development.

SocINDEX – Covers subdisciplines of psychology including abortion, criminology, gender studies, marriage and family, social psychology and substance abuse.

Wiley Online Library -- Dynamic online content service from John Wiley & Sons, Inc., delivering the full-text of over 300 leading scientific, technical, medical, and professional journals, plus major reference works and the full-text of select Wiley print books online. Works include: Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy, Infant and Child Development, and Journal of Social Issues.
