Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog -  Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Look here for books, government reports, journal titles, videos, CDs, etc.  Keyword searching is available.
Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas.  The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat -  (FirstSearch Core)  Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.

Databases and Journal articles

Academic Search Complete - Indexes and abstracts over 3,800 journals in nearly all academic areas of study. Provides full text coverage, full-page images, and color embedded images.

Dissertations and Theses - The database includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester.

Education Research Complete - Includes Library Science, Literacy Standards, and more.

Information Science & Technology Abstracts -- Covers classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management, search engines, printed and electronic information sources, the information industry, scholarly communication, electronic publishing, and more.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) -- indexes more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

Library Literature & Information Science -- a bibliographic database that indexes articles and book reviews of key library and information science periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere. Books, chapters in collected works such as conference proceedings, library school theses, and pamphlets are also indexed.

Professional Development Collection - Offers a specialized collection designed for professional educators. It includes abstracts and index coverage for nearly 530 journals and full text coverage of nearly 440 journals. The collection offers information on many topics such as pedagogical theory and practice, and children's development.

SciVerse -  Web database for scientific research that contains the full-text of more than 1,000 Elsevier Science journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences available through the Internet.

Taylor and Francis Online - over 21 journals in the Library Science field, Including Cataloging & Classification Quarterly, Journal of Access, Internet Reference Services Quarterly, Journal of Interlibrary Loan,Document Delivery & Electronic Reserve, and Journal of Library & Information Services in Distance Learning

Ulrich's Periodicals Directory -- Locate information about titles published on a regular basis, such as consumer and trade magazines, scholarly journals, newsletters, newspapers, and monographic series and electronic publications.  Provides a full description of the periodical, ordering information, and reviews..

Web of Knowledge --access to current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from approximately 8,500 of the most prestigious, high impact research journals in the world. Web of Science also provides a unique search method, cited reference searching. Indexes included are: Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index.
