Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog - Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Look here for books, government reports, journal titles, videos, CDs, etc. Keyword searching is available.
Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas. The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat - (FirstSearch Core) Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.
Databases and Journal articles
Business Source Complete - (Ebsco) Provides access to business related journals covering topics in business, management, economics, finance, banking, and accounting. Business Source Complete contains content from full text sources ranging from general business periodicals such as Business Week, Forbes, Fortune, American Banker, etc. to academic journals such as Harvard Business Review, Journal of Management, Academy of Management Review, Review of Economics & Statistics, etc.
Dissertations and Theses - Full Text - Bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation,
accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester. Citations for dissertations published from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. The full text of more than one million of these titles is available in paper and microform formats. Institutional subscribers to ProQuest Dissertations and Theses - Full Text receive on-line access to the complete file of dissertations in digital format starting with titles published from 1997 forward.JStor - The scholarly journal archive covers Business, Economics, Finance, and Statistics.
Lexis Nexis Academic Universe - For company financial, accounting journals, and business news, click on "Business." Provides access to titles in news, business and legal information. It includes company financial information, industry and market news, foreign and U.S. newspapers, magazines and trade journals, and accounting information. Examples of journals indexed in this database are:HR Focus and Personnel Journal.
MasterFILE Premier - (Ebsco) MasterFILE Premier provides full text for nearly 1,880 titles including the topics of business and accounting. Examples are: Business & Professional Ethics Journal, People Management and Personnel Journal.
Periodical Archive Online - is an electronic index to millions of articles published in 4,250 periodicals in the humanities and social sciences. It enables undergraduate, graduate, faculty and general researchers to quickly locate every article relevant to their particular field of study, reducing what could involve years of research to a matter of minutes.
SciVerse (formally Science Direct) - This database is good for finding articles on business, management, and accounting. One of the titles for human resources management is: Human Resource Management Review.
Wiley Online Library - This scientific database includes journals in business, finance, and marketing. Titles for human resources management include: Employment Relations Today and Human Resource Development Quarterly.
