Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog - Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Look here for books, government reports, journal titles, videos, CDs, etc. Keyword searching is available.
Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas. The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat - (FirstSearch Core) Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.
Databases and Journal articles
Academic Search Complete - Several full-text Geology journals, and indexing to many more.
Annual Reviews (full text content 1996-present) - Authoritative reviews in the Biomedical, Physical, and Social Sciences. Annual Reviews publications are and have been among the most highly cited in scientific literature.
BioOne (direct or via CSA) -- Provides access to full-text articles from high-impact bioscience research journals. Most of BioOne's titles are published by small societies and non-commercial publishers. This database provides access to resources in interrelated journals focused on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences.
Dissertations and Theses - Web access to the Dissertation Abstracts database, the single, authoritative source for information about doctoral dissertations and master's theses. The full-text of over 100,000 dissertations published from 1997 forward, as well as, citations for dissertations published from 1980 forward with 350-word abstracts written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts.
Environment Complete - coverage in applicable areas of agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, urban planning, and more.
GeoRef (1785 to present) - Acts as a guide to materials in geology and earth sciences. Provides access to global geoscience literature, includes abstracts, and contains references to journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports, and theses. Journal titles include AAPG Bulletin, AAS Science and Technology Series, Baylor Geological Studies Bulletin, and World Geophysical News.
InformaWorld -- Covers all academic areas.
JSTOR -- The scholarly journal archive covers Anthropology, Ecology & Botany, Business, Economics, Finance, General Science, History, Literature and Languages, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, Sociology, and Statistics
Nature - Searches all of the journals from the Nature publishing group.
Proceedings - Provides citations of every congress, symposium, conference, exposition, workshop and meeting received at The British Library, and includes geology.
Science and Technology Collection – Access to over 800 journals, specifically including geology journals.
SciVerse - Provides full-text or abstract coverage of a wide spectrum of disciplines including chemistry, materials science, engineering & technology, environmental science, physics, computer science, and earth sciences.
SpringerLINK - One of the world's leading online information services for scientific, technical, and medical (STM) books and journals.
Web of Knowledge - Index or full-text access to approximately 8,500 of the most prestigious, high impact research journals in the world. Web of Science also provides a unique search method, cited reference searching.
Wiley Online Library – Browse the category ‘Geology’ to determine which journals are included.
