Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog -  Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Look here for books, government reports, journal titles, videos, CDs, etc.  Keyword searching is available.
Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas.  The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat -  (FirstSearch Core)  Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.

Databases and Journal articles

Academic Search Complete - provides full text for over 3,200 journals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science, etc. Examples of environmental journals indexed in this database are:  Environment, Environmental Science & Technology, and Journal of Soil & Water Conservation.

AGRICOLA - from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  Index to information about water resources,  the environment, and other areas as related to agriculture.

Agriculture Journals - contains approximately 280 of the leading North American agricultural journals.   Topics include animal and veterinary sciences, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture, farming, agricultural economics, food and human nutrition.

Annual Reviews – Includes Ecology and Environment & Resources.

BioOne (direct or via CSA) -- Provides access to full-text articles from high-impact bioscience research journals. Most of BioOne's titles are published by small societies and non-commercial publishers, and, until now, have been available only in printed form. This database provides access to resources in interrelated journals focused on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences.

Cab Abstracts - covers research and development in the applied life sciences, including agriculture, forestry, human nutrition, veterinary medicine and the environment. Other topics covered in the database include: biodiversity, pest control, environmental pollution, animal diseases, food production, managing natural resources, plant and animal breeding and more

Computers and Applied Sciences Complete – Includes titles such as Journal of Environmental Engineering and Science, Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management,, Environment.

Directory of Open Access Journals – Browsing Earth & Environmental Sciences.

Dissertations & Theses – Full text access to doctoral dissertations and master's theses. .

Environment Complete – Index and full-text coverage in applicable areas of agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, urban planning, and more.

Environmental Engineering Abstracts – Indexing and abstracting of world literature pertaining to technological and engineering aspects of air and water quality, environmental safety, and energy production.

GeoRef – Provides access to the geoscience literature of the world Includes abstracts, and contains references to journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports, and theses.  Search here for the Water-Supply Papers of the U.S. Geological Survey (many are available in the Dick Smith Library)

GreenFile -Indexes scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports. GreenFILE serves as an informative resource for anyone concerned about the issues facing our planet. It contains nearly 300,000 records, full text for selected titles and searchable cited references for more than 200 titles.

JSTOR - Coverage of core scholarly journals in the Arts & Sciences, General Sciences, and Ecology & Botany collections. Search for information on hydrology and the environment in journals like, Ecological Monographs, Ecology, Journal of Applied Ecology, Journal of Ecology, Limnology, and Oceanography.

Legal Collection - It provides information centered on the discipline of law and legal topics such as international law, federal law, the environment, and more.

Lexis-Nexis Academic - Provides authoritative legal, news, public records and business information; including tax and regulatory publications.

Nature – Journals in the basic biological and physical sciences.

Proceedings - Provides citations of every congress, symposium, conference, exposition, workshop and meeting received at The British Library, including ones concerning the environment.

PubMed - The National Library of Medicine's preferred web-based search engine to access the 9 million citations in MEDLINE and Pre-MEDLINE (with links to participating online journals), and other related databases. Also available as Medline in FirstSearch Core.

SciVerse - a Web database for scientific research that contains the flutist of more than 1,200 Elsevier Science journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences available through the Internet. Examples of relevant journals indexed in this database are: Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment; Journal of Arid Environments; Journal of Hydrology; Landscape and Urban Planning,Water Research.

SpringerLINK  - Full-text access to journals in environment studies.

Taylor and Francis Online - active reference links resolving to the final article online for Taylor & Francis titles and those of participating publishers in the CrossRef project enabling access to a over 5,500 journals and nearly 4 million articles. Where the final article isn't available online it leads to an appropriate external resource, such as the major abstracting and indexing databases. Covers all academic areas.

Web of Knowledge – Access to high-impact research journals in Environmental studies.

Wiley Online Library - an online full text database from John Wiley, Inc. containing reference books and hundreds of scientific journal titles.  Hydrology titles include: Hydrological Processes and Regulated Rivers.
