Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog -  Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Look here for books, government reports, journal titles, videos, CDs, etc.  Keyword searching is available.
Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas.  The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat -  (FirstSearch Core)  Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.

Databases and Journal articles

Academic Search Complete - Economics related journals include:  Current Issues in Economics & Finance, Economic Development Journal, Journal of Consumer Affairs, and World Policy Journal.

Access World News - current and archived state, national and international full-text articles on issues, economic, business, government and world events.

Business Source Complete - Comprehensive business database which includes topics in economics.

Dissertations and Theses - Full Text - The database includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester. Citations for dissertations published from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. The full text of more than one million of these titles is available in paper and microform formats. Institutional subscribers to ProQuest Dissertations and Theses - Full Text receive on-line access to the complete file of dissertations in digital format starting with titles published from 1997 forward.

EconLit - Journals books and working papers on economics from the American Economic Association

Economist Intelligence Unit - provides country, industry and management analysis. Country analysis on more than 200 markets, Industry treads in six key sectors, latest management strategies and best practices.

Federal Reserve Banks:

  • Fraser - contains scanned images of U.S. historical economic statistical publications, news releases and other documents.
  • Fred - U.S. economic time series data with spreadsheet downloading capability.
  • Alfred - vintage versions of economic data that were available on specific dates in history.

Global Financial Database - contains extremely long runs of historical data on U.S. stock prices and macroeconomic data for the U.S. and foreign countries. Our subscription includes the full service and these sub-sets: Long-term Financial, Interest Rate, United States Daily Stock Market, Global Stock Market, Total Return, Annual Data, and Dow Jones Industrial Average Intraday.

JSTOR - search journals for full text articles on the historical aspects of economics and economic theory; some journals begin as early as 1886.

Lexis-Nexis Academic -- Provides authoritative legal, news, public records and business information; including tax and regulatory publications. You can quickly and easily retrieve documents that meet your specific reference or research needs.

Mergent Online -- Offers electronic access to Mergent's (formerly Moody's Manuals) These include Mergent Banking and Finance Manual, Mergent International Manual, Mergent Public Utilities Manual, Mergent Transportation Manual, Mergent OTC Manual and all the News Reports that go with each of these products. Information includes corporate history, Business Properties and subsidiaries, Officers and directors, Long-term debt, Income statement, Balance sheets, and more.

OECD Library - The OECD groups 30 member countries sharing a commitment to democratic government and the market economy. With active relationships with some 70 other countries, NGOs and civil society, it has a global reach. Best known for its publications and its statistics,its work covers economic and social issues from macroeconomics, to trade, education, development and science and innovation.

Project Muse - offers nearly 250 quality journal titles from 40 scholarly publishers. As one of the academic community's primary electronic journals resources, Project MUSE covers the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, economics and many others.

SciVerse - search for full text articles on research in economics; related journals include Agricultural Economics, Economic Modeling, Energy Economics, Forest Policy and Economics, and International Review of Economics and Finance.

Statistical Insight -- searches the American Statistics Index (from 1973), Statistical Reference Index (from 1980), and Index to International Statistics (from 1983). The index record provides title, bibliographic, and subject information as well as an abstract to the contents of each statistical publication.
