Books, Documents, Reports, Journals Titles, AV Materials, Etc.

Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog -  Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Look here for books, government reports, journal titles, videos, CDs, etc.  Keyword searching is available.
Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas.  The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat -  (FirstSearch Core)  Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.

Databases and Journal articles

Academic Search Complete – Use the Subject Search icon in Ebsco databases such as this one to see cross-references, correct terms, and   related terms.  For example, the subject “Public Speaking” leads to the related subjects of “Debates & Debating” or “Television Public Speaking”. Or explore the term “Radio Journalism” and reach such topics as “News Radio Stations”.  This is the largest, scholarly, full-text database for academic institutions.

Access World News - current and archived state, national and international full-text articles on issues, communications, economic, business, government and world events

Business Source Complete  – Useful topics in this Ebsco database are “Broadcast Journalism” and “Public Relations”.  Both scholarly journals and business periodicals are indexed.

Dissertations and Theses - Full Text - is the single, authoritative source for information about doctoral dissertations and master's theses.

ERIC (Ebsco)  ERIC (OCLC), or ERIC (CSA)- the Educational Resource Information Center, is a national information system supported by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Library of Education, and the Office of Educational Research and Improvement. It provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1000 educational and education-related journals.  Also included is the Education Resources Information Center.

Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts - covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Complete coverage is also given to various fields of linguistics including descriptive, historical, comparative, theoretical and geographical linguistics.

Project Muse - offers nearly 250 quality journal titles from 40 scholarly publishers. As one of the academic community's primary electronic journals resources, Project MUSE covers the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, economics, and many others.

Psychology Journals - complete information from over 400 top psychology and related publications, this database meets the needs of both students and mental-health professionals.

Taylor and Francis - scholarly journals covering all areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Science and Technology.
