Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas. The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat - (FirstSearch Core) Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.
Databases and Journal articles
Academic Search Complete - Chemistry related journals include: Annual Review of Physical Chemistry, Chemistry of Natural Compounds, Journal of Chemical Physics, and Theoretical & Experimental Chemistry.
American Chemical Society Publications - Currently, over 30 peer-reviewed journals and magazines are published or co-published by the Publications Division. Approximately 140,000 pages of research material are published annually both in print and on the Web, along with another 90,000 pages of additional Supporting Information available on the Web.
Annual Reviews - Offers a comprehensive electronic collection of all Annual Reviews back volumes, with content spanning the Biomedical, Physical, and Social Sciences dating back to the very first volume of the Annual Review of Biochemistry® in 1932 — available online.CAB Abstracts (current and archive) -- covers research and development in the applied life sciences, including agriculture, forestry, human nutrition, veterinary medicine and the environment. Other topics covered in the database include: biodiversity, pest control, environmental pollution, animal diseases, food production, managing natural resources, plant and animal breeding and more.
MEDLINE - Provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more.
Nature - Several full-text journals published by the Nature Company are included in this database.
PubMed - A service of the National Library of Medicine, includes over 14 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950's. These citations are from MEDLINE and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources.
Science & Technology Collection -- over 800 leading full text journals covering relevant aspects of the scientific and technical community. Topics include aeronautics, astrophysics, biology, chemistry, computer technology, geology, aviation, physics, archaeology, marine sciences and materials science.
SciFinder Scholar - chemistry research tool. (Username and Password required)
SciVerse - 1,000 Elsevier Science journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences including Chemistry. Examples of Chemistry journals included in this database are: Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, Trends in Analytical Chemistry, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Computers & Chemistry, Tetrahedron Letters, Chemical Physics Letters.
SpringerLINK - Currently offers access over 500 fully peer-reviewed including a focus in Chemistry and Materials Science.
Web of Knowledge --Access to current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from high impact research journals in the world. Web of Science also provides a unique search method, cited reference searching. Indexes included are: Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index
Wiley Interscience - This database includes full-text journals in many aspects of chemistry.
