Tarleton State University Libraries Catalog - Database of all items owned by Tarleton Libraries. Look here for books, government reports, journal titles, videos, CDs, etc. Keyword searching is available.
Library of Texas - Search for Books and Articles from libraries located in Texas. The Library of Texas lets you pick the library collections you search, helping you locate items near you.
WorldCat - (FirstSearch Core) Books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains more than 32 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. If Tarleton does not own these items, they can be requested through Inter-Library Loan.
Databases and Journal articles
AGRICOLA direct or via Ebsco or Proquest - is a bibliographic database of citations to agricultural literature in all formats, including citations to printed works as far back as the 15th century.
Agriculture Journals - covers a wide range of agriculture-related topics including: animal and veterinary sciences, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming and farming systems, agricultural economics, and food and human nutrition
Dissertations and Theses Full Text - includes bibliographic citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester. Citations for dissertations published from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. The full text of more than one million of these titles is available in paper and microform formats. Institutional subscribers to ProQuest Dissertations and Theses - Full Text receive on-line access to the complete file of dissertations in digital format starting with titles published from 1997 forward.
Cab Abstracts - covers research and development in the applied life sciences, including agriculture, forestry, human nutrition, veterinary medicine and the environment. Other topics covered in the database include: biodiversity, pest control, environmental pollution, animal diseases, food production, managing natural resources, plant and animal breeding and more.
EJS-Ebsco Journal Service- includes more than 400 journals in the field of agriculture including the Journal of Animal Science and Plant and Soil.
Environment Complete – offers deep coverage in applicable areas of agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, urban planning, and more. Some agricultural journals included are Animal Biology and Plant Ecology.
JSTOR - includes many journals in the fields of wildlife ecology, soil science and plant science.
Medline via Ebsco or OCLC- includes journals in the field of veterinary science and animal science.
Science & Technology Collection - includes over 800 leading full text journals covering relevant aspects of the scientific and technical community. Topics include aeronautics, astrophysics, biology, chemistry, computer technology, geology, aviation, physics, archaeology, marine sciences and materials science. Database includes agricultural journals such as Livestock production, Animal Science Journal and Plant Journal.
SciVerse - contains the full-text of more than 1,000 Elsevier Science journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences available through the Internet. Some agricultural journals included are Crop Protection, Meat Science, and Soil Technology.
Wildlife Ecology Studies Worldwide - includes topic areas of studies of individual species, habitat types, hunting, economics, wildlife behavior, management techniques, diseases, ecotourism, zoology, taxonomy and much more. Approximately 18,000 records are added per year.
