Service Efforts Recognized

Tarleton State University has been named to the 2009 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service. Selection to the Honor Roll is recognition from the highest levels of the federal government of commitment to service and civic engagement on campus and in our nation.
TARLETON L.E.A.D.S.
Leadership. Engagement. Action. Development. Service
Tarleton L.E.A.D.S. is a prestigious two-semester leadership certification program that utilizes in-class and out-of-class experiences to develop student leaders.
Students are selected through an application and interview process at the beginning of each fall semester. The program is limited to 25-30 student leaders each year.
Students who are "leadership certified" receive special university recognition and accommodations which include a special seal on their official university diploma and academic transcript.

Leadership Learning Community
Learning Communities are a collaborative effort between Academic Affairs and Student Life to foster an inclusive, purposeful community to promote student success.
Students who participate in the Leadership Learning Community (LLC) are interested in gaining leadership skills and experience both inside and outside of the classroom. Students will participate in a variety of leadership development training and developing a Strengths-based philosophy.
