Welcome to The Longhorn Drover online
The Longhorn Drover is the magazine for the International Texas Longhorn Association (ITLA). The Longhorn Drover is an information resource for ITLA membership; it includes articles on the history and care of a Texas Longhorn, dates and information for ITLA events, and various other information of interest to our members and readers. The Drover currently distributes quarterly. Additionally, the June issue of the Longhorn Drover provides a directory of active ITLA membership.
Originating as a newsletter, then developing into a magazine approximately ten years ago, the Longhorn Drover has evolved into a student managed and produced publication. In August of 2009, the ITLA granted Tarleton State University the opportunity of allowing Tarleton students' invaluable hands-on magazine production experience. After June 2010, this publication will transition from bi-monthly to quarterly.
There are many opportunities to be included in the Longhorn Drover such as: purchasing ads, entering photo contests, or even contributing articles to be published in the next edition.
