What is a Fraternity?
A fraternity is a group of men bound together by brotherhood, common goals and aspirations. The members that form a fraternity share their efforts, friendship, and knowledge. Together these members learn, grow and make the fraternity stronger. Their common experience builds ties that last a lifetime. This forms a brotherhood amongst members which helps to develop strong and creative leadership, leading to success.
Though there are many different Fraternities, they all share common founding principles. Fraternities enhance your educational experience by emphasizing intellectual, interpersonal, and social development. The ideals of lifelong friendship, sound education, campus and community service and social interaction are what fraternity members strive to live by every day.
What does Greek really mean?
Membership in a Greek letter organization is a lifetime commitment. Choosing the Greek community means working with a group of men or women who can exchange and stand for common goals and ideas while being held to a higher standard that other college students. The Greek experience during the college years is a gateway to many rewards and connections later in life.
Each of our chapters develop a special bond often called brotherhood, which is nurtured through common work, laughter, service projects, intramurals, and the shared success and frustrations of all. Throughout the student's life, membership will be an unwritten bond of friendship no matter what course his life takes.
