The Emphasis Option

Emphasis Option Degree Requirements: 

  •      Graduate hours in the area of Emphasis:   18
  •      Research course at the graduate level:   3* 
  •      Electives (graduate hours outside the area of emphasis):   15

  
              Total Hours:   36

*Must be approved by the department offering the area of emphasis


The area of emphasis may be taken in any field of study that currently offers a graduate program.

A student pursuing the Master of Science in Liberal Studies must successfully complete the comprehensive examination in the area of emphasis for the Emphasis Option.

Requirements must be approved before a degree plan is submitted or 12 graduate hours are earned.
