Field Trip Information

General Information

• Admission is $2 per student.
• All teachers, bus driver, and parents receive complimentary admission.
• Cash, check, and credit cards are all gladly accepted forms of payment.
• One payment is requested upon arrival for entire group.
• Reserve about one hour for your visit.
• Bus parking is available.
• Center is disabled accessible.
• One adult chaperone required per 10 students.

School Programs

Scavenger Hunt

Students explore all areas of Thurber history with a short video and a hands-on scavenger hunt through the museum that keeps them actively involved. They learn about what life was like for the immigrant coal miners and brick factory workers in a company-owned town around the turn of the century.
