Night Out at the Opera House

From the 1920's to the 1930's, Thurber's famous Opera House showed silent and black & white films. The Night Out at the Opera House is a free public program that features films shown during this time period. Films are shown in the W.K. Gordon's recreated Opera House located inside the museum. Past movies have included the 1933 Dracula, 1920 The Sheik, 1933 Alice in Wonderland and more! Please check the calendar and news feed for future program dates!

Join us for our first Night Out at the Opera House of 2015 as we screen Howard Hughes' 1932 film, Scarface. Ditch the hearts and flowers for this classic gangster film starring Paul Muni and Ann Dvorak. The show starts at 6:30pm on Saturday, February 7; snacks will be provided at intermission. This program is free to the public but seating is limited. Reservations are requested. Please contact Shae Adams at sadams@tarleton.edu or 254-968-1886 for more details.
