Financial Aid Consortium Program

Steps to Participate in Tarleton State University’s Financial Aid Consortium Program


Step 1 – Pick up a Financial Aid Consortium Agreement Certification Form at the Registrar’s office or the Financial Aid Office at Tarleton State University or print one of the forms see here on the right.

Step 2 – Complete the Certification Home Institution portion of page one.

Step 3 – List the courses that you desire to take at the participating community college. Visit with your TSU academic advisor to ensure the courses will work toward your degree. Upon agreement, the advisor will sign the form.

Step 4 – After securing your academic advisor’s signature, take the form to the Registrar’s Office for a signature that verifies that these courses are transferable and will be accepted at Tarleton State University (the home institution).

Step 5 – Student must sign page 2 agreeing to the conditions of the financial aid consortium.

Step 6 – Take the form to the Financial Aid Office of the Host institution (Community college) and the Financial Aid Officer will complete the Certification Host Institution portion of the certification form and sign it.

Step 7 – Take the Financial Aid Consortium Agreement Certification form to the Registrar’s Office of the Host institution (Community College) to certify enrollment information as requested on the certification form. He/she will then provide a signature attesting to the accuracy of the enrollment information. Tarleton State University MUST be notified within two business days if there is a change in enrollment status (i.e. drop/add courses, withdrawal, etc.)

Step 8 – The final step is to return a completed form to the Registrar’s office for processing.

Step 9 – Student must request that an OFFICIAL transcript to be sent to Tarleton State University (home) immediately after completion of the courses. You will be blocked from registering for upcoming terms and/or receiving an official transcript from Tarleton State University.

How to Apply

Consortium Agreement Certification Forms

This process must be completed EACH semester. INCOMPLETE forms will not be accepted. Consortiums will only be processed for the Fall and Spring semesters. Consortiums cannot be used in the Summer Terms.
