The Technology Education Emphasis Area provides students with the professional education courses that lead to state certification to teach Technology Education courses at the secondary level. This combination of courses provides an excellent range of concepts that students can apply in many educational and training fields.

15 Clock Hours = 1 sem hr. credit.
1 year experience = 4 sem hr. credit.
Quarter hrs x 2/3 = semester hrs.
1 CEU = 10 clock hours.
Must have at least 33 hrs occupational specialization to qualify. (May use 15 hrs. work experience + 18 hrs Tech. or any combination to get 33 hrs.
Residence requirement = minimum of 30 hours at TSU, 24 hours must be advanced.
Minimum of 36 advanced hours required for graduation.
