Welcome to the Department of Engineering and Physics!

The Department of Engineering and Physics offers a rigorous educational environment with the one-on-one mentoring of a prestigious private institution and the facilities and research equipment of a large research institution. A degree from our department can be the key to your unlocking the door to an exciting career in engineering, medicine, dentistry, physics, computer science, or other technical field so that you can truly be whatever you desire to be. Whether your goal is to be an engineer,  doctor, an astronaut, computer programmer, hydrologist, or a high school physics, chemistry, or math teacher, you will find programs in the pages on this website that can help you meet your goals. In the past five years, our graduates have obtained paid graduate fellowships to a large number of institutions including Stanford, Rice, MIT, OU, UT, Michigan, and A&M as well as winning national competitions to study abroad. Our physics and computer science programs are also part of the Texas A&M's Program for System Admission Program which freshman students who successfully complete the approved freshman sequence of courses at TSU are guaranteed transfer admission to Texas A&M University in the same program.
