About Us
Tarleton State University was first established in 1899; and soon after in 1917, became a member of The Texas A&M University System. Today the enrollment has grown to over 9600 students and Tarleton offers classes at our locations in Waco, Fort Worth, and Online.
Tarleton State University began offering online degrees in 2003. Tarleton's Master of Science in Agriculture Education was the first online Masters degree in Agriculture offered in the state of Texas. The College of Business soon followed adding four online Masters degree programs.
Our online degrees are designed for the working professional who finds an online degree necessary due to professional and personal obligations. Students who have the desire, organizational skills, self discipline, time management skills, and talent for independent study will find the Tarleton online degree programs an excellent route to obtain a graduate degree. Tarleton currently offers seven masters degrees completely online.
Beginning in Fall 2011 Tarleton's 8 undergraduate completion programs will be fully developed and students will be able to complete a bachelors degree online in business and industrial engineering.
