Group Leaders

Responsibilities

  • Engage and foster relationships with 12 to 15 students during each camp through team building activities and interactive discussions
  • Inform and promote opportunities for campus involvement that would be specific to the individual needs of the student
  • Attend all required training and staff meetings
  • Assist in promoting Duck Camp at new student events such as Texan Tour and/or Texan Orientation
  • Participate and assist with Texan 2 Texan / candle lighting
  • Work 2 hours in the Duck Camp office during a scheduled time period

Qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher
  • Completion of Alcohol Edu
  • Awareness of Tarleton traditions, landmarks and history
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of a variety of campus involvement opportunities
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work effective with a partner

Expectations

  • Ability to pay your own way for camp experience. Cost for group leaders is $100 per person.
