Emergency Warning System for Tarleton State University
Code Purple is an emergency notification service that gives Tarleton State University the ability to communicate health and safety emergency information quickly—by email and text message. Through Code Purple, university officials can quickly pass on safety-related information, regardless of your location.
The state-of-the-art emergency notification system is designed to notify individuals of closings or delays due to weather, crime or other events that pose a threat to those on or coming to campus.
Texas HB 2758 mandates that all faculty, staff, and students of any State of Texas institution of higher education be registered into an emergency notification system. Any faculty, staff, or student has the right to opt-out of this required service at any time. All subscriber information will remain private and won’t be sold or shared to third parties.
For Code Purple assistance, contact Risk Mgmt & Safety at riskmgt@tarleton.edu or call (254) 968-9898 or (254) 968-9237.
To Receive Text Notifications: Please make sure your cell phone provider allows these short code text messages to be sent from our official emergency notification provider, e2campus. Our short code numbers are 795-16 and 703-59. Unless you want to stop receiving emergency notification text messages, do not reply to a Code Purple text message with the word "stop".
