Texas A&M University-Central Texas Nursing Program Update
At this time, under the guidance of Carolyn Prosise, Texas A&M University-Central Texas is working on an exciting proposal seeking approval of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)-a generic nursing degree program. Students would complete non-nursing courses via community college, then complete two years of nursing courses at A&M-Central Texas and clinical experience with area health care agencies. Upon graduation, students would be eligible to complete the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEXRN) to become a Registered Nurse (RN). In addition to the BSN, future goals include developing Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and RN to BSN bridging programs.
