Hi, my name is Roger Anderson, and I am a Student Recruiter at CTC/Fort Hood.

I am originally from Roseland, Louisiana, but currently reside in Killeen Texas. I earned my bachelor’s degree in management, and currently working on my master’s in management and leadership. I joined the United States Army in 1990, and exited in 2007. I served 2 tours in Germany, 1 in Korea, 3 tours at Fort Hood, 1 Desert Storm, and 1 Operation Iraq Freedom. After exiting the Army, I worked as a student recruiter/enrollment counselor for the University of Phoenix.

I am married; and my wife has retired from the Army. I have 6 siblings who reside in Louisiana. I love eating seafood, and my favorite is fried oysters.

In my spare time, I work out 6 days a week, “fighting old age.” I enjoy swing dancing and working in the yard during the summer months. In addition, in the summer time, I love going to Arlington, Texas to watch the Texas Rangers Baseball team. “Yes, I am a summer person!”

My saying in life is, “If you fall down, stand up, dust your knees off and move forward.“We all fall down in life, but what separates us from one another is your individual resilience, the ability to overcome, and the recognition that that brief life experience was an opportunity for learning.

Hi! My name is Kristin Ziska and I am the recruiter at Temple College.

I am a new Texan who has lived in various places around the United States. I moved here from Pinehurst, NC in January of 2009. Prior to moving here, I was a high school English teacher at a county school in Rockingham, NC. My teaching experience has primarily been in American Literature and Grammar. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing from Methodist College (Fayetteville, NC) and I'm currently working on a Master of Science degree in Information Systems here at Texas A&M University - Central Texas.

My household is consumed by my 6-year-old Black and Tan Coonhound mix named Lucky Yuengling. He was a foster that I had taken in from a no-kill shelter and I simply could not see my life without his constant need for attention and beautiful yodeling. He has been my constant companion since I adopted him in November of 2003.

Some of my passions include reading, backpacking, and photography. My pictures have been published a few times; the most recent has been in a tourist guide for San Antonio! I usually take one big outdoor trip a year. This past year I did a portion of the Appalachian Trail. My ultimate goal is to hike both the Pacific Crest Trail and the Appalachian Trail in their entirety.

Anything in life is possible if you just put your heart into it. Create your own path and be proud of where you are. Come talk to me and see how Texas A&M University - Central Texas can help you clear your path to further success.
