330-4 Nursing Care of the Older Adult. (2-6)

Focus is on risk reduction, disease prevention, and strategies for health promotion, restoration, and maintenance in a vulnerable older population. Emphasis is placed on integrating assessment, data analysis, therapeutic communication, and critical thinking skills to direct culturally sensitive care of older adults. Clinical experiences are conducted in a variety of health care settings and the simulation lab. Course fee $20. Lab fee $10.
