120-4 Survey of Nursing Science. (2.5-4.5)
An introductory overview of nursing and the TSU program for the pre-nursing student. Provides an introduction to nursing as a scientific discipline with its own unique body of knowledge. Content focuses on the basic concepts of nursing which are health, environment, person, and nursing. The roles of the professional nurse as member of profession, provider of care, and coordinator of care also serve as a guiding framework for organization of introductory content. Course fee $25. Lab fee $10.
