Part writing of figured bass exercises and melody harmonizations requiring altered chords, 9th, 11th, and 13th chords; remote modulations, study of sonata, rondo, variation and other nineteenth-century forms; aural skills. Introduction to analysis of tonal music according to the theory of structural levels. Course fee $10. Lab fee $5.
