595-3 Professional Issues in Human Resources. (3-0)
Examines contemporary professional issues in human resource management. Emphasis is placed on current issues, ethical decision-making processes, work place investigations, and continued professional development. Successful completion of a comprehensive competency examination covering the principal areas studied within the human resource management function (human resource management practices, selection and placement, training and development, compensation management, labor relations and occupational safety, health and security) is required.
Prerequisite Course(s):
A minimum of 15 hours in Human Resource Management, Psychology or concurrent enrollment.
