Counseling Psychology
594-3 Substance Abuse. (3-0)
An introduction to addiction counseling. Special attention is given to models of addiction, chemical dependence, process addictions, and co-dependence. An experiential component is included as well. Covers related ethical concerns.
Prerequisite Course(s):
CPSY 550: Foundations of Counseling and Psychology
or
PSY 560: Foundations of School Psychology
and
CPSY 553: Personality and Counseling Theories and Applications
or approval of department head.
